Plus the harsh Australian heat can’t weaken these lids, not like the standard plastic skimmer lids.

PoolEdge skimmer lids come in 3 different sizes. This is so they can be used for a variety of options such as drain covers for outdoor showers, sprinkler covers, wastepipe covers, and of course skimmer box covers.

How It Works
Getting a hidden skimmer lid installed is simpler than most people expect.
1. Measure Your Extension Ring
Measure the internal diameter of your skimmer box extension ring. That single measurement tells you which of our three lid sizes you need.
2. New Builds or Existing Pool
Our lids work for both new and existing pools. For new builds, the stainless steel sleeve is installed before the concrete surround is poured and the lid sits flush when the slab is finished. For existing pools, the sleeve slides into the top of your current skimmer box.
3. Pour The Surround
Our PoolEdge formwork is quick and easy to set-up making it a DIY dream, however we do provide you with instructional videos and instructions should you need help. Once your concrete pour is complete, removal of the system is effortless.
4. Open With The ‘T’ Safety Key
When it’s time for maintenance, you use the stainless steel ‘T’ key to lift the lid. The key is engineered from the same 316 marine grade stainless steel meaning it won’t rust or break.

Both work. We supply detailed installation guides for DIY installs, and our Perth-based team can handle supply and installation directly across the Perth metropolitan area. We ship lids across Australia and New Zealand.
Built To Australian Safety Standards
Each PoolEdge hidden skimmer lid is designed and tested to comply with AS 1926.3-2010 – the Australian standard for water recirculation systems in swimming pools. That covers entrapment safety, load ratings and access requirements.
Our lids are also earthed, giving you and your family protection against electric shock from pool electrical systems.

Yes, all of our hidden skimmer box lids are earthed to provide you with superior safety from electric shocks.
Can I Install It Myself, Or Do I Need A Contractor?
Both options work. For new builds, the sleeve needs to go in before your concrete surround is poured. Your concrete can do this with our installation guide in hand. For existing pools, a confident DIYer can handle the retrofit. We provide step-by-step video guides and downloadable PDFs for reference.
Do The Lids Work For Saltwater Pools?
Yes. Marine grade 316 stainless steel is specifically rated for saltwater environments. It’s the same grade used in marine hardware and coastal architecture. This makes our skimmer box lids suitable for both chlorinated and saltwater pools.
